Drumline Coordinator

Tyler’s marching percussion experience began in 2009 when he co-founded an indoor drumline at Woodstock Academy during his senior year. He began marching in the UCMB in 2009, where he was a member of the tenor line his first year. He then marched snare from 2010-2013, serving as snare section leader for two years. In the summer of 2012, Tyler marched snare with the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.

Tyler is a University of Connecticut alum with a B.A. in Music (Percussion) and a B.S. in Management Information Systems. He was a member and music director of the University’s premier a cappella group, The Conn-Men, as well as a member of the national band fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi. Tyler currently teaches percussion at Thames Valley Music School, Trumbull High School and The Woodstock Academy. As a performer, he has played for productions at the Connecticut Repertory Theater, with the Chelsea Symphony in Manhattan and numerous local venues. He returned as a staff member for the 2014 season and continues to help coordinate music and visual design, and to work with the snare line.
