college-gameday-logo_2012ESPN College GameDay comes to Gampel Pavilion this Saturday, February 25. Saturday morning’s events are FREE and open to the public and all UConn students. Doors open at 8 a.m. for the 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. shows on ESPN and ESPNU. Seating will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis.

UConn, the defending National Champions, will host ESPN College GameDay for the first time since hosting the inaugural College GameDay on January 22, 2005 against Pittsburgh. Connecticut lost that game, 76-66.

Be sure to wear white to help White Out Gampel Pavilion. We hope to fill all 10,000+ seats and show why Storrs, Connecticut is the Mecca of College Basketball. Fans are encouraged to create and bring signs that represent UConn in a positive manner. 
All fans can enter through the South Doors of Gampel Pavilion. At 12 p.m. when the show ends, all fans must exit Gampel Pavilion. Doors will open for the game against Syracuse at 6 p.m. with tip-off slated for 9 p.m.

The ESPN College GameDay crew will all be on hand for the day’s festivities.  Rece Davis serves as theCollege GameDay host, and is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Hubert Davis to preview all the day’s action and discuss the biggest storylines in college basketball. Dan Shulman, Dick Vitale and Erin Andrews will call the prime-time telecast.

The UConn Pep Band invites and encourages all husky fans to join us at Gampel this Saturday morning! Saturday’s game against No. 2 Syracuse is SOLD OUT. Fans can follow the action on ESPN, ESPN3 and ESPN3D.

12:00 p.m. All fans begin to exit Gampel Pavilion
6:00 p.m. Doors open for UConn vs. Syracuse in Gampel Pavilion
9:00 p.m. UConn takes on No. 2 Syracuse live on ESPN and ESPN3D
