Grace Lauber is a freshman Actuarial Science major in the clarinet section. A fun fact about her is that she’s from New Providence, New Jersey, the town where the glow-stick was invented!
Fiorella Contreras is a sophomore from the Baritone section. She is a double major in Political Science and Communication and a minor in music. A fun fact is that she used to play mellophone in high school and played French
horn with the UConn Concert Band this spring!
Lucy is a junior psychology and music major from the mellophone section. She loves playing at community events with a smaller group of other UCMB members. A fun fact about Lucy is that she was adopted from China when she was 11 months old.
Alysha is a freshman Chemistry major from the Color Guard! Her favorite part of marching band is the connections shared as a band. “Joining together as a group to produce a spectacular field show is incredible, and singing the alma mater after every football game is truly breathtaking.”
Taylor Pochetti is an Animal Science major from the tuba section. His favorite part of being in the marching band is being able to yell things like “PLANT” and “11” and occasionally “PLANT 11″ on the field. Some other fun facts about Taylor is that he has two different sized pupils, raised a sheep named Aaron DeMaio and hates the marshmallows in Lucky Charms!
Jake Bavarsky is a sophomore Mathematics/Statistics major from the drumline. This past season he marched bass, but will be returning to the cymbal line, where he began his time with the UCMB. Jake is from Freehold, NJ and his favorite food is chopped liver!
Spencer Walker is majoring in both Civil Engineering and Music and loves marching in Baritone Section. Some fun facts about Spencer is that he loves to go bowling, his favorite animal is a Mantis Shrimp, and he always roll steps!
Marie Randle is a sophomore Math and Math Education Major. Marie currently marches cymbals in the drum line. Marie began marching band on the clarinet, where she marched for four years part of that section through high school and first year with the UCMB. She then switched to cymbals and will be returning to the section for her second season this upcoming fall. Marie loves that the band is like a family and that there is always someone around who is willing to help you if you need it.
Riley Barnes is a sophomore mechanical engineering major from the drumline. This year, she marched the tenor drums. Riley’s favorite part of marching band this season was when the tenors lit their sticks on fire.
